While the East Coast is freezing through
one of the coldest Winters in years, things are moving along
quite well at Black Horse Yachts in Harpswell, Maine. We launched
the Ellis 32' in late fall and her performance in the water
exceeded our expectations. She is a classic Ellis with a very
roomy cabin accented with many Black Horse type touches. With
her 420 hp Yanmar, she is probably quicker over the water than many
in her class. She is at East Coast Yacht Sales in Yarmouth,
Maine priced to sell at $295,000. Peter Curtis will be happy
to give you the details and a ride, once the ice in the Royal
River melts.
We have started construction of
our next Black Horse Yacht, a 33' Sedan configured with
the galley down creating a large, comfortable cabin up. This boat
is a "work in progress," so many of the details will be up
to the new owner.
We are looking forward to the first
boat show of the new season, the Maine Boatbuilders Show in
Portland March 19th through the 21st. The Black Horse team will
be there along with Skylark, the Express Cruiser featured
in our new web site, www.BlackHorseYachts.com. Hopefully, the weather will be
warm enough to encourage all of us to begin to think of boating
in the waters along the northeast coast. We plan to be at the Maine
Boats and Harbors in-water show in Rockland, Maine in mid-summer
and at Newport, RI in the early fall.
